The Promised Witchfire News

I promised last post to do a brief teaser about what was coming in my rebooted Witchfire series. Time to follow through. 🙂

Those who read my Chapter 1 rough draft post know that Krystal is going to get sent back to the day that her entire adventure started, not just that, she’s taking ComixFana’s Special Agent Sullivan with her for the ride. The HOW that happens, I’m leaving as a mystery for a chapter or two.

Initially thrilled to be back in the real world, Krystal quickly realizes that if she doesn’t return, she will never see her true love again. Not a problem, she’s back shortly before the time she got banished to Delta City, right?

About the time that they return to Delta City, Krystal and Sully will realize “Hey, we’re going back with a couple of months of advance knowledge of the future. We’ll have it made!”

Or will they? You see, what Krystal and Sully don’t know is that a pair of villains will also be traveling back to the past and are equally determined to see to it that their side doesn’t lose. The fate of Delta City and it’s heroines quickly turns into a chess game as both sides try to outmaneuver the other.

The bad news for Krystal and Nancy Peye is that the villains have decided the best way to deal with their interference is… pretty kinky.

New Character Profiles!

I spent part of the evening last night creating two new character profiles here at the new erotica blog. Both characters are Deanna Troi’s creations that I’ve borrowed for my Witchfire serial. Both profiles have biographies along with dressed and nude pictures. I give you Nancy Peye:

And the incomparibly evil Golden Qilin:

Witchfire SPOILER! (G Rated)

I’ve been second guessing my decision here all night while answering email and catching up with other blogs. BUT, I know some of my readers are actually waiting for erotica from an erotica blog… Bizarre concept… LOL

Since it has been figuratively forever since I posted anything sexy beyond Witchy’s costume pics, I’m going to give out a very general plot spoiler for what’s upcoming. Who knows? Maybe it’ll even drum up some excitement about the serial. 😀

In the most general terms, the reboot plot will be this: The time travel will be completely accidental, and occur as the result of collateral damage during a battle. Witchfire and ComixFana’s character Sully will be sent back in time to the moment Witchfire was first sent to the Delta City reality. They will NOT have an easy go of it however, as a couple of villains will also be sent back in time accidentally.

The net result will be that we will have heroes and villains both with advance knowledge of the next few months of the future. Both will be determined to change things to their own liking and derail the other side’s efforts as well.

At first, each side will think they have it made. Both will have to contend with the other’s efforts. Both will find out that things aren’t as easy as they’d hoped either way. Even when they get what they want from an event, it may not end up with the result they predicted. They may just find out also that despite their best efforts, that the universe has a way of seeking a balance.

Balance or no, nothing will be the same again as heroes and villains race to shape the future.

Witchfire, originally viewed as an insignificant oddity, will now be known by the villains to be a legitimate threat to their plans thanks to the information from their time travelers. Deanna Troi’s character Nancy Peye will also be in increased danger as things move forward.

A Few More Creations

So since I’m officially post whoring now…  Here’s a few more pictures of characters put together from the Champions character creator:

First…  An OLD character that was actually part of the inspiration for Witchfire.  Her name is Eldrictch, AKA Becky Carsen.  She’s a half elf mage and used to tend bar at Club Caprice in Champions Online.  It was a fun way to get to talk to other players without committing to major projects.

Eldritch

Her costume displays some of my dislike for the costume creator.  Pieces like her magical bracers were sized to fit male characters and never scaled down for women.  The belt and necklace are huge also.

Next up is a failed attempt at recreating Witchfire herself.  I much prefer the Morrigan statue that I have pictured in her story section.  It’s a near perfect representation.  This…  Well I thought people would find it interesting if nothing else:

Witchfire

Next, I actually did get a good representation of my tongue in cheek Dr Strange clone in the Witchfire stories.  I give you the infamous Dr Steven Weird:

Dr Weird Front

Last but hardly least, a special treat.  Jennifer Saunders, AKA Liberty Gold in the game.  She will actually be the star of the first non-erotica book I’m writing.  Probably with a hero name change though.

Character Inspiration

I decided to show once again that you can find inspiration for characters (or stories) almost anywhere.  I constantly run through things I’ve read and watched for ideas…  How can I put a unique twist on something and change it enough to make it original?

Often times, it just ends up being the general idea.  My most well received City of Heroes story was based on a cartoon where one character went undercover in the villain organization but only one other person knew and they got put into a coma by an attack from the villains.

One of my most quirky characters was actually a near complete borrowing of a cartoon character.  She was a video game character in Champions Online.  Meet C.S.I. Gadget:

Penny Flying

For those who didn’t guess…  She’s a tribute character based on Inspector Gadget’s niece Penny.  I made her origin vague enough so that neither I nor the game got in trouble for copyright violation.  The origin being that she was the neice of the city’s now retired most famous cyborg detective.  A natural genius, she covertly helped her uncle, and when she graduated school a few years early, she went on to college and got dual degrees in engineering and criminology, then became a CSI for the Department.  She carries several devices and a portable crime lab, and has a small army of robotic pets that help her fight crime.  And yes, as the picture indicates, she rides around on a small circular flying platform.

I got several compliments on her look, with people saying the look was perfect for an adult Penny.  Here’s her street clothes “costume”.  The shirt is supposed to be a Millennium City PD T-Shirt.  Being an older game, Champions Online didn’t allow for a super high level of detail.

Penny Off Duty

So, I hope that help you writers see that an open eye and a little imagination can find creative inspiration anywhere.

She had a virtual army of pets in the game and it was a joke among my friends that turning her loose, the bad guy would scream in terror as a sea of pets washed over them, LOL.  That was before the game nerfed the pet summoning powers though.  *grumble*

She’s Baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Yes, I *FINALLY* got more of Witchfire’s story written.  Like last week, it’s a little less than I wanted, but I have a deadline to meet with DBC, and I’m also out of gas physically and creatively.

This week we did get a little smut as Ms. Americana gets in a catfight with her doppelganger from Sully’s (Comixfana’s) Earth.  Special guest appearance by Deanna Troi’s character Nancy Peye as we advance the plot and try to coordinate stories a little more.

Witchfire, Pt 10 – Training Day 2

A Vader Update

I talked to the friend that first linked me to the Vader fan film that I shared a few blog posts ago.  I was curious to find out if there were any other chapters released yet, and what news he’d heard in that regard (he has a remarkable knack for finding such things out).

At this point, there won’t be any future chapters.  Disney went after the producer with everything they had and even took the first chapter away from him.  LucasArts (presumably Lucas himself) apparently still has some pull though, and get the first chapter returned to the producer.  Not before Disney’s legal bullying wiped out the producer financially though.  They’re also blocking all attempts to crowdfund future chapters of the story.

I hear stories like this all the time.  I’ve watched them gobble up more and more of the entertainment world too the last decade or so.  Walt Disney would doubtless spin in his grave if he saw how his company is being run nowadays.

Fun And Games?

I’m going to be hitting a few posts today it seems.  I originally did all the topics as one long post.  It felt rambling and disjointed, so 3 or 4 separate posts it is.

The common thread to all of them is that all of the recent events have me thinking about my direction as a writer.  To get to the point of THIS post, part of the what I was pondering was…

pondering

Not quite, LOL.  It was that despite all the drama there, Twitter did have some really good writing drills shared as games among the community there.  Seems there’s a little of that going on in the blogs here as well.

The Twitter stuff was all some variation of “write something about this picture or subject”. Great for being concise and expressive, given the allowed lengths of tweets. I never really got into them during my couple of months though.

A) I wasn’t part of the cool kids club, and these things generally require a “tag in”.

B) I’m what they call a “turtle writer” on twitter. I can come up with a great story, but not on the fly usually.

That’s part of what these games are for though; to get you used to letting the creative energies flowing freely. If you don’t practice, you don’t improve. Since I also need content here for when I’m NOT posting an actual story OR news of my internationally acclaimed best sellers (some day, LOL), I think I’m going to make a best effort to do a VSS thing here.

For those NOT familiar with it, VSS is “Very Short Story”. I had to google it when I first saw it on twitter. If I recall, the definition was something under 400 words. I just tried Google again, and all it gave me for search results was Volume Shadow Backup Services for backing up hard drives. Yeah Google is great… NOT.

So, yeah… Rambling… AGAIN. No wonder I think I need exercises in creative conciseness, LOL. On twitter, the ideal SEEMS to be keep your VSS to one tweet. A real challenge. I’m not sure where my VSS posts’ lengths will fall, OR how often I’ll do them at first, BUT training is a good thing, and I legitimately want to grow as a writer. As I get better, I hope to have one a day up to keep in practice and draw people to the Blog.

Maybe those of you who do writing blogs also would be interested in getting in on this?  IF we did it as a group drill / friendly competition, I’m thinking once a week, and say 200 words?  That gives the Turtles and busy people time.

Return of the SMUT – Not Quite

I’ve been working to at least get my Witchfire story going again.  As those following my blog know, life has been… chaotic the last few weeks though.  I’ll leave the drama at that.

Because I had a deadline to meet with DBC for hosting, and I just ran out of gas, I only got about half way through this chapter, and turned it into a short one.  No smut, but it does advance the plot and fill in some questions about the mysterious “Institute”

Witchfire, Pt 9 – Training Day (Prelude)

Enjoy, hit the like button, share, send me money…  It’s that good.  LOL  J/K

Hope everyone enjoys.  I should be fully back on track next week.

Witchfire Pt 9 Sneak Peek

After being distracted with drama and trying to reorganize the story, I’m back writing away at my Witchfire erotica.  After my realizations, I’m trying to up the excitement a bit more in terms of the main plot.  One of the things I’m going to do is expose the readers more to the villains behind the scenes.

With that in mind, here’s a sneak peek at a bit of Witchfire Part 9:

Meanwhile, at the mysterious villain organization’s headquarters.

“You heard me correctly, Senator,” the leader said, staring at the row of monitors before him.  “The Aberration went through the She-Legion like a knife through butter, but the witch somehow took him out single-handedly.”

“How the fuck did that happen?!?” one of the shadowy figures on the monitors demanded.

“Somehow she knew his weakness, and exploited it fully,” the leader replied.

“God damned it Cromwell,” a female voice with a slight Latina accent snapped.  “You assured us you have Delta City under control.”  “If the public finds out what the Institute is up to in Delta City, it will be all our asses in a sling, starting with yours.”

“There’s no need to be dramatic, Senator,” Cromwell replied.  “The Aberration test proved that the She-Legion is still useless and clueless, even with the witch’s intervention.”  “We also learned she’s a threat we need to take more seriously but she should be easy to continue to keep isolated.”

“Can you guarantee that the Aberration won’t be traced back to the Institute in any way?” another male voice demanded.

“Absolutely, Mister Secretary,” Cromwell replied confidently.  “If anybody has the skills to properly analyze his DNA, all they will see is Professor Pervo’s handiwork in genetic engineering.”

“I still don’t like it,” another male voice.  “Axis Industries should be taking the lead on Project Dominance.”

“Kiss my ass, Yuri,” Cromwell growled.  “Your second rate pharma company doesn’t have half the experience with technology or genetics as Cromwell Industries.”

“That’s enough!” the General barked.  “We’ve had this discussion before.”  “Things will remain as this council set them up until such time as the entire council decides otherwise.”  “Need I remind you what happened to General Wade when he refused to play ball?!?”

“Point made, General,” Cromwell said with a nod.  Yuri grumbled something resembling an agreement from the monitor he was on.

“Good,” The Secretary said.  “Double down on project security, and work on getting a new Aberration field ready.”  “It was the closest thing we had to a viable weapon.”

“Both are already in progress as we speak,” Cromwell replied.

“What about Bridge?” The General demanded.  “His sexual perversions are becoming a potential security risk.”

“He’s a pawn with little knowledge of our operations,” Cromwell replied bluntly.  “His electronics and telecommunications technology have been helpful, as have his financial contributions.”  “If he becomes a liability, he’ll develop health problems… fatal ones.”

(For more on Mr. Bridge, see Deanna Troi’s stories at DangerBabeCentral.com)

“With that settled, I think we can declare this meeting of the Council over,”  The Senator said.  “I have a National Security Oversight Committee meeting to attend in a half hour.”

With that, the other four members of the Institute’s governing council signed off, their monitors going dark.  Cromwell rubbed his goateed chin then straightened his suit coat, then turned to exit the control center.

“Best be careful, Max,” a woman’s voice said from near the doorway of the control center. “I think you’re starting to make the Council nervous.”  “Not healthy.”

Cromwell turned around, and flashed an arrogant smirk.  “You let me worry about the rest of the Council, Charity.”  “None of them have my intellect or vision.”

“Just don’t let those wax wings of pride carry you too close to the sun, Icarus,” Charity replied.  The leggy woman wore a professional looking knee length black dress and had her light brown hair in a low ponytail.

“Oh ye of little faith,” Cromwell replied with a chuckle so devoid of joy it could chill to the bone.  “And from my own troubleshooter no less.”

And that’s all you get for now…
